Seven members of the House of Representatives on Thursday joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) from.various opposition parties in Akwa Ibom State.
Six of the seven defectors were from the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) while one member was from the Young Progressives Party (YPP).
The PDP defectors are Unyime Idem, Martins Esin, Paul Ekpo, Uduak Odudoh, Okpolu Etteha and Bassey Okon .
Emmanuel Ukpong-Udo is the sole defector from YPP.
The latest defections came a few weeks after Governor Umo Eno. dumped the PDP for APC.

Eno had shortly before the defection asked the commissioners and other officials of the state government to join him in APC.
